Samsung, Adidas Launch SGH-F110 miCoach for the Fitness-Minded
In response to the Nike/iPod partnership, Samsung and Adidas have come together to create the SGH-F110 miCoach, a mobile phone for the fitness conscious person. Aside from all the features of a normal phone, the miCoach is equipped with a heart rate monitor and a step counter.

The heart rate monitor will store information while you are out on a run that you can download to your computer later or access on the fly. Depending on the fitness program you select the miCoach will monitor your heartbeat and a voice simulating "coach" will alert you if you are running too fast or too slow. There will be over 220 fitness programs available via a website with a range of strategies and goals. The website, maintained by Samsung, will assist in planning runs and tracking your training progress.
The phone itself is a quad-band GSM slider (850/900/1800/1900MHz) that measures 101.5mm x 45mm x 14.5mm. It has a two inch display and is equipped with a 2 megapixel camera and 1 GB of memory. It is Bluetooth compatible and an MP3 player to keep you company on long runs.
The SGH-F110 miCoach is expected to be available next month. No word on the price yet.
