Sprint Offers Green LG Rumor for St. Patrick's Day
Sprint and LG have claimed the official St. Patrick's Day phone with their green LG Rumor. As long as you are carrying one of these you can't be blamed for not wearing green. But the green has more significance than just being a celebration of St. Patrick's Day.

The green LG Rumor will be the first device from LG and Sprint to use environmentally friendly packaging. The box is recyclable and made from 70% post-consumer waste. It is not bleached, but rather has an eco-friendly aqueous coating. In addition to this, a postage-paid return envelope has been included in the packaging to encourage consumers to recycle old handsets rather than sending them to the landfill. This is part of Sprint's Project Connect program in which 100% of the proceeds go to support Internet Safety for kids through the 4NetSafety program.
The LG Rumor is a slider phone that boasts a full QWERTY keyboard. It measures 4.3" x 2.0"x 0.7" and weighs 4.1 oz. Its display is 2" and has a resolution of 176 x 220 pixels. The Rumor is also equipped with a 1.3 megapixel camera. Its 950 mAh battery offers up to 4.5 hours of talk time.
The LG Rumor is currently available through Sprint for $49.99 after rebates and with a two year service agreement. It also comes in black and white if you're not in the St. Patrick's Day spirit.
