MySpace Launches Free Mobile Web Site
After a few months of beta testing, the wildly popular social networking site, MySpace, is officially launching a mobile web site that will be completely advertisement funded. Previously MySpace was only available via a subscription through AT&T or MVNO Helio.

The new mobile site will allow members to use all the normal features of MySpace including viewing friends pages, reading and composing messages, viewing photos, searching for friends and posting comments and blog entries. MySpace will also be unveiling a new mobile community on the online site where all of its mobile services and products will be available. It will be featured prominently on members' home pages to encourage users to visit the new mobile area. The new ad-funded site will be available on all networks. How exciting.
Social networking has become increasingly popular on the mobile web in recent months and analysts predict this trend to continue. Several other social networks have developed mobile versions as well, including Facebook and Bebo among others.
