TeaShark Launches New Webkit-Based Browser
TeaShark has just unveiled their new web browser that will compete with Opera Mini to bring the full web experience to any java enabled mobile phone. It renders pages the same way as your desktop browser. TeaShark is now in its beta phase and its beta server is based on WebKit3, which is the same engine used by Safari 3 in Mac OS 10.5 Leopard.

TeaShark features tabbed browsing and it will remember your session and restore it every time you leave and come back, which makes multi-tasking easier. Color tagging is a new feature that allows you to group your bookmarks in a more practical way - one bookmark can be tagged with several colors if it belongs in more than one group. Another useful feature allows you to select text right out of a page and search for it or right click a phone number on a page to call it.
The browser also features an intelligent mouse for navigation. The cursor will automatically jump to the next link to click and up,down, left and right arrows appear that allow you to quickly jump to the next part of the page. There is a two level zoom feature, one level allows fine scrolling while the other allows you to jump between sections of the page. TeaShark can also rotate to landscape view on phones that support it. The browser also includes other features such as smart web address entry, find text, built-in web search, RSS reader, in-line editing and permanent history.
TeaShark is available free for download now.
