Sony Ericsson P5 'Paris' Revealed
Earlier this week some photos of the long awaited Sony Ericsson P5i were leaked. Although the P5 officially remains unofficial, these pics shed some light on the enigmatic high end smartphone that many are calling the "Paris." The Unofficial Sony Ericsson Blog was able to procure an official product video of the P5 and, though they aren't allowed to show it yet, they were able to release some still shots.

The stills reveal that the P5 is a slider with a large (maybe 2.8" VGA) touch screen. It is expected to have a P1 style keypad below the display. The P5 will also feature the brand new UIQ 3.3 user interface for the Symbian platform. The phone is also expected to sport a 5 megapixel camera with auto focus and a flash. The phone should also have built in GPS. Most speculation also has the P5 packing a 360 MHz processor (seems a bit slow) and 128 MB of RAM plus a microSD card slot. It is also rumored that it will run the Opera Mobile 9 browser. It is supposedly 16-18 mm thick and weighs 128 grams. Keep in mind that most of these features are speculation, maybe educated, but still speculation.

So the P5 is one small step closer to reality. The giant leap should come by the end of next month when Sony Ericsson is expected to officially announce the P5. It is expected to be available for retail as early as September.
