Canon 5D Price Drops Yet Again... Is the 5D Mark II Coming Soon?

Just weeks after Canon announced its Spring 2008 rebates that brought the Canon EOS 5D 12.8 MP Digital SLR Camera down to $1899, Amazon has dropped the price another $80 bringing the total to $1819 USD. The price drops have fueled speculation that the long awaited Canon EOS 5D Mark II is just around the corner. The 5D Mark II is rumored to be 15.3 megapixels, have a light sensitivity of 25600 ISO, 6 fps shooting capability and will have dual Digic III processors. It will also probably cost $3500+. If you can't wait for or afford the Mark II, the 5D is certainly no slouch and, for $1819, is a fantastic deal.
