Wilson Electronics Unveils Mobile SignalBoost Amplifier Kit
One of the leading manufacturers of amplifiers and antennas for mobile phones and data cards, Wilson Electronics, today unveiled its newest product. Designed to amplify cellular signal, the SignalBoost Mobile Professional amplifier kit is ideal for use in areas where signal strength fluctuates or is spotty at best. Take it on business trips when signal reliability is uncertain or use at home to improve call or data transmission quality. COO of Wilson Electronics, Joe Banos, acknowledges that "it is extremely common, and equally frustrating, for business travelers to find themselves in places without adequate cellular signals to do what needs to be done to remain productive and successful," and offers Wilson's amplifier as a solution - "the SignalBoost Mobile Professional is designed to help business professionals stay within reach, ready to take that important call or essential e-mail. And, with Wilson Electronics, users know they are getting the highest quality product available to significantly reduce cellular connection concerns."

The SignalBoost Mobile Professional is a plug-and-play kit that is easily set up within minutes. It can be powered by a computer via USB port, a vehicle's power point or any standard AC wall outlet. A magnet based antenna can be mounted on a vehicle roof or on a window suction cup bracket. The amplifier unit takes the signal picked up by this antenna, amplifies it then broadcasts it via an internal antenna. It does not require any physical connection with your phone or data card. The amplifier provides six times the power of a mobile phone and supports multiple phones and data cards. Its dual band design works with Cellular and PCS carriers on the 800 and 1900 MHz frequencies (including Verizon, AT&T, Sprint, Alltel, among others). According to Banos, "No competing product on the market delivers the performance, convenience and portability of the SignalBoost Mobile Professional... At Wilson Electronics, every amplifier we produce is quality controlled with at least 52 testing sequences to verify the performance of design specifications. This quality assurance, combined with our amplifiers' superior design and RF engineering, enables Wilson Electronics to consistently outperform the competition."
The SignalBoost Mobile Professional kit will be available in October. We are unsure of the price since the press release lists a range between $259.95 to $279.95 while Wilson's website lists an MSRP of $374.95.
