BlackBerry Storm Available in 1 Week
RIM's first ever touchscreen phone, the BlackBerry Storm will be available in just one week - next Friday (11/21/08) from Verizon Wireless!

The Storm has a 3.25" LCD SurePress touchscreen with full functionality that includes a tactile touch and click response system that actually lets you feel your selections, allowing for more accuracy while typing and browsing. If held in portrait mode, the Storm has a SureType predictive keyboard, while rotating it to landscape position brings up a full QWERTY keyboard. You can also rotate pictures and web pages in this manner.
The Storm has a full HTML browser backed by 3G speed which essentially brings the Internet experience you have on your personal computer to your phone. The Storm also features GPS with full turn-by-turn directions. A pre-installed SIM card and Global Literature Kit allow the Storm to be easily switched between CDMA and GSM, allowing it to function fully just about anywhere. The Storm has a front facing 3.2 megapixel camera that is capable of video capture and has a flash. It also comes with Facebook, Mobile IM and Flickr Photo Uploader pre-installed so you can keep in touch with your social circle. Like all BlackBerries, the Storm supports up to 10 personal and corporate email accounts and comes loaded with applications such as Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
The Storm is 4.1" x 2.2" x 0.5". It will cost $249.99 with a two year service contract with Verizon Wireless, while a $50 mail-in rebate knocks it down to just $199.99.
