Huge Apple Black Friday Sale on Macbook, Macbook Pros, iMacs
UPDATE: MacMall has extended the sale detailed below through the entire holiday weekend, through 11:59pm on 12/1 (Cyber Monday).
MacMall, Apple's largest authorized dealer, is having a three day sale that has actually already begun and will end on Black Friday at 11:59 PM. The sale pretty much covers the spectrum of Apple computers, including MacBooks, iMacs, MacBook Airs, Mac Minis and Mac Pros. A few of the deals caught our eye, here they are:

Measuring just 12.8 x 9 x 1 inches and weighing about 6 lbs. (including AC adapter), the13.3" MacBook is your perfect portable solution. Despite the low sale price of $1179, you get a 2.0 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo processor, 2 gigs of RAM and 160 GB hard drive. The big bonus though is an upgrade from the gimpy 64 MB Intel GMA video card to a robust 256 MB Nvidia GeForce 9400M, which is a vast improvement. This notebook has more than enough muscle for your everyday tasks and with the improved graphics capabilities, can handle some pretty serious gaming as well. Another nice feature is the large glass touch pad that supports multitouch gesturing (think iPhone), just another example of Apple's superior quality and design.
The 15.4" MacBook Pro packs a bit more punch than the MacBook. It has all the features of the MacBook, but is quite a bit more powerful, hence "Pro." The Pro runs on a 2.4 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo processor, has 2 gigs of RAM and a 250 GB hard drive. It also boasts a more powerful video card than the MacBook, an Nvidia GeForce 9600M, 256MB. The Pro sports a bigger display too, of course. This all makes it well worth the $1799 price tag, which is $200 off its normal retail value.
The iMac is easily the nicest desk top I have ever worked with. It just looks great and doesn't take up much desk space since the computer resides in the monitor. A perfect specimen of quality. Aesthetics aside, this machine is a workhorse, with an Intel Core 2 Duo 2.8 GHz processor, 2 GB RAM and a 320 GB hard drive. The nicest feature of this deal is the beastly 24" display which is a pleasure to work on and great to watch movies on as well. The ATI Radeon HD 2600 Pro video card will meet all your graphics needs. Do yourself a favor and take a long look at this one, because the $1640 price tag is a bargain, and it won't be around for long.
There are plenty of other deals to be had at the MacMall, including a $600 discount on the
MacBook Air, a deal ridiculous enough to get it on our list of Top 12 Black Friday/Cyber Monday Tech Deals of 2008. These Mac deals will only last til tomorrow night at midnight, so check them out while the gettin's good.
