New iPhone Specs Leaked
It looks like some of the next generation iPhone's specs are beginning to show up around the web. Macrumors has apparently been monitoring the Chinese forum Weiphone and has found something of note - a screenshot and a list of some features and specs.

Earlier this month a forum poster on Weiphone.com uploaded what is claimed to be a screenshot from a next generation iPhone with a "MB717LL" model number. It appears to have 32 GB of storage. The original poster also made a few other claims... In addition to the 32 gigs of storage the new iPhone will have a 600MHz CPU Speed (up from 400MHz) and 256MB RAM (up from 128MB). The phone will also feature a digital compass and FM as well as a 3.2 megapixel camera with autofocus (up from 2 megapixel). The poster reported no major changes to the battery, screen or external casing.
Whether or not any of this is believable is anyone's guess. According to Macrumors "the original poster has no track record for accurate information." That being said, Chinese websites have often provided early photos of Apple releases including the unibody MacBook and MacBook Pro casings. There have already been reports of a magnetometer being involved in the new phone, so a digital compass is certainly believable. The iPhone certainly could use an upgrade in the camera department as well, so that also seems believable. Frankly and upgrade to 3.2 megapixels is a little disappointing. Well it shouldn't be too long now (probably sometime late June), so we'll soon see.
