Canon Offers Spring Rebates on Cameras, Lenses
Canon has officially announced its 2009 Spring sale on a variety of cameras and lenses. The rebates will be offered from May 3 through July 11th and, what's more, they are instant rebates - no mail-in nonsense or coupons required. The deals offered are no trifle either, there are many $100+ rebates and even a $500 rebate on a telephoto lens.
Some deals of note include the highly popular Rebel XSi entry level dSLR and the more advanced EOS 50D.
The Canon EOS Rebel XSi is a 12.2 megapixel entry level dSLR, perfect for those who are new to digital photography plus plenty of features for those with experience. Canon's Spring rebate offers this camera in an $849 kit deal ($200 rebate). The kit includes the camera, obviously, a Canon EF-S 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 IS Zoom Lens, a Canon EF-S 55-250mm f/4-5.6 IS IS Zoom Lens, an eyecup, camera strap, video cable, USB interface cable, battery pack and charger plus several booklets on photography with shooting tips and advice. It also comes with a 1 year warranty. This is a great deal considering the two lenses.
The Canon EOS 50D is a slightly more advanced 15.1 megapixel camera with a DIGIC 4 image processor and improved ISO capabilities. The 2009 Spring rebate offers the 50D in a $1599 kit, $300 off the regular $1899 price. The kit includes the camera body, a Canon EF-S 18-200mm f/3.5-5.6 IS Auto Focus Lens, eyecup, camera strap, USB and video cables, battery pack and charger plus a 1 year warranty. Again, a deal that shouldn't be overlooked.
Both cameras come in several other kit deals and there are quite a few rebates on various lenses. Take a look and take advantage of the low prices before the rebates end on July 11th.
