This week at a press conference in Milan Toshiba unveiled their new HSPDA capable Portege G450 USB modem. What's interesting is that it doubles as a GSM phone. You need to plug in an earpiece

to use it as a phone and it has an innovative two part keypad. Amazingly, you can even send and receive SMS messages on a tiny 96 x 36 OLED. Weighing in at just 56 grams the G450's specs are:
- Tri-band GSM (900/1800/1900)/GPRS/EDGE/UMTS/HSDPA 3.6 Mbps connectivity
- Qualcomm MSM6280 chipset
- 160 MB of user memory
- USB mini interface
- 300 hrs stand-by and 180 minutes talk time
- Dimensions: 98×36x16 mm
The G450 should go for about €199 or just under 300 USD.
