T-Mobile joins the party with unlimited call plan

Not wanting to be the odd man out, T-Mobile announced late yesterday that it too would offer its customers an unlimited calling plan for, you guessed it, $99.99 per month. The plan will allow customers unlimited, nationwide calling and messaging (text messages, multi-media messages and instant messages) and will include domestic roaming and long distance charges.

T-Mobile offers unlimited calling plan Verizon Wireless AT&T

According to Jeff Hopper, vice president of marketing for T-Mobile USA, "T-Mobile is passionate about helping people stick together with those who matter most, and providing them with the best value is one way we help our customers do that ... this offering empowers people to communicate as much as they like on their own terms – whether it’s voice, text messaging, picture messaging or IM.”

Unlike Verizon Wireless, T-Mobile did not announce any new data plans. AT&T did not offer any new data plans either. But no more minute counting or roaming charges for anyone! Ahh... competition at its best, the consumer wins.

The new plan will be available for new and existing customers starting Thursday Feb. 21. Their popular myFaves plans, affordable unlimited calling plans, are still available starting at $39.99 per month.
