Sprint adds Samsung Ace world phone to lineup
Sprint has added Samsung's dual mode Ace to its repertoire. The Ace supports both CDMA and EV-DO networks as well as GSM/GPRS networks which are more common outside of North America. The Ace also comes unlocked, a very convenient feature for travelers as it allows you to use foreign carriers' SIM cards, which drastically reduces calling and data expenses overseas.

The Samsung Ace operates on Windows Mobile 6 and features a 2.3" TFT display with 65K colors and 320 x 240 resolution. A thumbwheel allows for one handed navigation and it has a 1.3 megapixel camera/camcorder with a 5x digital zoom lens. Other features include:
- QWERTY Keyboard
- Microsoft ActiveSync
- Sprint TV Enabled
- MicroSD Memory Card Slot
- Stereo Bluetooth® Wireless Technology
- Voice-Activated Dialing
- Phone As Modem Compatibility
- Built-in Speakerphone
The Ace is 4.65" x 2.32" x 0.46" and weighs 3.9 ounces. The battery is a lithium ion 1300 mAh which allows for about 4.3 hours of talk time. The Ace is available for $199.99 (after a $100 mail in rebate) with a two year contract.
