Sony Ericsson's T303 Slider Appeals to Broader Audience
In an effort to reach a wider audience Sony Ericsson today unveiled the T303 compact slider phone. It has a chic, high-end appearance with a mirrored screen, metal housing and a chrome finish without the high-end price tag to match, according to Ericsson's press release.

According to Lykke Tærsbøl, Senior Designer at the Sony Ericsson Creative Design Centre, the T303 combines "premium finish and materials with a good feature-set to deliver ‘style with substance’," and the "balance between shape and size in combination with the design makes it a truly eye-catching product." He says the goal of the T303 was "to create a phone that would function equally as a daily companion as well as something to show off on a night out." At just 83 x 47 x 14.7 mm and only 93 grams, the T303 seems small enough to fill the companion role without being too much of a nuisance.
The T303 is also equipped with a 1.3 megapixel camera with a 4x digital zoom. It also has an FM radio and TrackID, along with a media and MP3 player. Its screen is fairly small at 1.8" and has a 128 x 160 pixel resolution. It will use WAP 2.0 XHTML for Internet. The T303 comes with a stereo headset or an optional Bluetooth™ Headset HBH-PV703.
There will be a T303/T303c - GSM/GPRS 900/1800/1900 model and a T303a - GSM/GPRS 850/1800/1900 model, both available in selected markets from mid 2008.
