How do I reset my RIM Blackberry?

There are several types of resets that can be performed on your Blackberry:

1. A soft reset is performed by pressing ALT+RIGHT SHIFT(CAP)+DELETE keys. This will stop all applications and re-establish communication between your Blackberry and computer. This does not work for the Blackberry Pearl.

2. A double soft reset stops all applications and is basically the same is a hard reset. Press ALT+RIGHT SHIFT(CAP)+DELETE. The screen will go blank, when it comes back hit ALT+RIGHT SHIFT(CAP)+DELETE again. The screen will go blank again and it will reset. This does not work for the Pearl either.

3. A hard reset is the first step in troubleshooting. Simply remove the battery and then put it back in.
