EOps displayed its new i24R3 Wireless Digital Multi-room Speaker System at this year's 100% Design Tokyo exhibit. Although the speakers look more like fans or lamps than speakers, the system sounds promising as a whole.

The system was designed for the iPhone/iPod by industrial designer Michael Young and features a bass unit dock and satellite speakers. The bass dock incorporates a 4" 40 watt sub-woofer while the satellite speakers are 3" and 20 watts. Today in Cupertino, California Apple announced updated versions of both the iPhone and the iPod Touch. The storage capacities of both devices will be doubled. Increased storage calls for increased price, of course, so Apple updated that as well.
