LG Announces Next Generation Chocolate
LG Electronics has announced the successor to the company's most popular phone ever, the LG Chocolate. It is expected to be unveiled some time in August.

Alltel Wireless and LG Electronics today announced the latest addition to Alltel's lineup of messaging devices, the LG AX840 Tritan.

Korean technology leader LG Electronics today announced the launch of its new, "attractively priced" LG KP500 touchscreen phone. The phone is intended to bring the features found in high-end touchscreen phones to a more affordable phone accessible to the masses.

AT&T Announces the LG Invision
AT&T and LG today announced the availability of their new multimedia device, the LG Invision. The Invision will be the third device to offer AT&T Mobile TV, and at about just 4" x 2" x .5", will be the smallest to do so.

The Invision runs on AT&T's 3G network, which allows it to reach speeds of up to 1.4 megabits per second. The phone has a 1.3 megapixel camera and is capable of Video Share calling. It includes AT&T Music, which gives the user access to downloadable music from eMusic, Napster To Go and

Alltel Offers LG Glimmer AX830 Touchphone
Alltel Wireless will be offering LG's new touchscreen handset, the Glimmer AX830 beginning this Thursday, March 13. It is a CDMA phone that will support Alltel's EV-DO network and has all the features you would expect in a slider touchphone. It seems very similar to the LG Shine, except with a touchscreen.

The Glimmer measures 3.9 x 2 x 0.6 inches and has a 2.8" display with a 240 x 400 px resolution. It weighs in at about 127 grams. The images released to the press reveal the typical LG shortcuts for menus, calls, messaging and phonebook. Not much is revealed about the rest of the
LG announces phones capable of world-wide roaming
LG has announced two new phones, the LG-KM560 and the LG-KP330, that will be the first 3G phones capable of roaming in 220 countries. They will be able to do so because they support all three WCDMA bands (850, 1900 and 2100 MHz) as well as GSM bands. Cell phones usually only support one or two bands.

The phones were selected by a panel of experts from six leading operators including Telstra, Telenor, Rogers Wireless, Telefonica Movile, Cable & Wireless International, and Entel PCS, to spearhead the GSM Association's Horizon Phone initiative. According to Dr. Skott Ahn, President of LG Mobile
LG announces the KF510
Today in Seoul LG Electronics announced that it will debut its newest phone, the KF510, at the Mobile World Congress next week in Barcelona. The KF510 is and ultra-thin slider phone with a thickness of just 10.9 mm. The phone has a metal frame that is available in Stardust Dark Gray or an attractive Sunset Red and has a screen made from tempered glass.

The KF510 has an animated touchscreen interface and features a touch sensitive navigational keypad developed from LG's Interactive Touch Lighting technology, which has people calling it the "Touch Lighting Phone." It also doubles as an MP3 player and has a multi-function, autofocus 3.0 mega pixel camera.

LG, Harris announce mobile TV
Yesterday at the CES LG announced its partnership with Harris Corp. to bring television broadcasts to mobile devices. Dubbed MPH for Mobile Pedestrian Handheld, the technology will require handset manufacturers to install a reception chip in their devices.

Harris, an established manufacturer of broadcasting equipment, will be working with broadcasting stations (apparently hundreds are involved in the partnership) to develop device signals. MPH
