Android 2.1 Update for Verizon's Motorola Droid Fails to Arrive
It was widely rumored last week that the Verizon Droid (Motorola Droid) would be receiving an OTA (over-the-air) update from Verizon on January 22nd. The update was supposedly being issued to update Motorola Droid phones sold by Verizon which currently run Android 2.0 or Android 2.0.1 (depending on when the phone was purchased). Unfortunately, as noted by Android blog Operation Android, to the dismay of many Droid owners, the update failed to arrive.

Beginning today Sprint will be offering Motorola's new MOTORAZR VE20 clamshell phone. The phone runs on Sprint's Mobile Broadband Network and comes with a plethora of entertainment applications including Sprint TV, Radio and Music Store. It also comes with NFL Live Mobile which gives you

Motorola's Z10 is a mobile film studio
Motorola introduced its latest phone, the MOTO Z10, at the CES today. The sleek, ergonomic design is fashioned from spun stainless steel with a polished metallic finish and features soft-feel textures. Motorola invests in INSIDE Contactless
Motorola announced today that it has invested an undisclosed amount in INSIDE Contactless, a world leader in contactless payment chips and near field communications (NFC) technologies for mobile devices. These technologies allow for secure payments and interactive advertising on mobile devices, an important factor in a future that demands greater mobile device versatility.

Washingon Post Reviews Motorola Razr 2
Several Razr2 models have been released so far: the V8 was released in July and the Razr2 V9m was released through Sprint on August 22nd and through Verizon on August 29th. The V9 was released on September 1st. Peter Svensson of the Associated Press recently reviewed each of Motorola's Razr2 models and the results were less than stellar.
